One of the things I love about it is how it's a love story disguised as a lesson about over consumption and how we're destroying our planet.
Easily In the top 5 of my favorite screen romances ever. It's one of those where you hear that after the film is finsihed, the two leading actors end up get married, only in this case they'd stay together! :)

The great thing about the scene, and speaks to how well the people at Pixar do their job, is WALL-E's eyes.
When he's reactivated, part of what makes it so heartbreaking is how "dead" his eyes look. The "life" he had in his eyes for the entire movie is gone.

This was one of the few times that when I walked out of the theater, I knew I had seen one of the greatest films ever made. Films this beautiful and films this full of heart, love and passion are so rarely seen that we as an audience need to appreciate them when they come our way. Thank you, Pixar, for all the beauty you've brought into this world.
