@MrDBarch How can anyone claim to know for a fact anything that happened thousands of years ago. The only way you can be sure is if you were there. Right now, you can't even say that the method scientists use to date things like fossils and rocks is correctly dating them. There's no way to prove it. None of us were there and the earth could have been a lot different, even rotating differently, than it does today.

I loved the documentary but I didn't like how it ended. He seemed to have some kind of strange delusions of grandeur complex. I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but if some unknown force from out of space crashed into the planet tomorrow, no "hole in the wall" food supply with 1000 different types of rice is going to save us.

I certainly DO, as a matter of fact, have knowledge of ices ages, right back to snowball earth and how it happened, how we got out of it, how long it took. what's your point for asking btw? In the big picture, really, this video is basically showing a disdain for the way our 7 billion+ population of human beings uses the earth to provide us with our lives as we live them. None of us decided to be alive..... we could do well to understand our needs, and respond to them with good values and common sense. Our planet is a vast resource, but at the same time, it is limited. it's unavoidable that we would use resources. we really have to change our disposable lifestyles. Waste isn't good
