Recently, on a vacation trip to Franklin,NC. I noticed a rotten smell along a trail of the greenway. This smell caused me to investigate the area of the smell. As I came towards the smell I saw several bushes and trees begin to shake and rattle as if the area was under the spell of a earthquake. I quickly grabbed my camera and began to filmed a creature known to the southeast as a "Skunk Ape."

  • Another skunkape was seen on 12/1-film will be posted soon! Thank you for the film Jerry Splender of Jacksonville, FL who was on a weekend trip with his family. Footage was filmed near Highlands, NC

  • Recently a homeless man reported to the Macon Co sheriff's dept, that he was molest by he described as a gorilla but had the touch of a woman and the smell of one of his close friends.

  • @DLL74

I know that ape! it eats a few beers at the rat when it is in town. god save the ape, or a rabid raccoon or a trout that thinks it is from norway.

  • Thank you JFMMAX but I'm not sure who you are! I'm a non-drinker and I never eat rats or other rodents of that breed. This event is rare and rarely caught on film. I have set a goal to film and with the blessings from above I plan to capture this creature before it brings harm to WNC. My goal is to search, film & destroy! I will begin my hunt this June! If you (JFMMAX) would like to join me or whatever, please contact me through YOUTUBE. Good Day

  • To all tourists visiting the Franklin area. Please be careful during this summer. Recently, there was a skunkape spotting along the Highlands Road going towards Highlands, NC. It has been years since a skunkape has been seen in this area. Many of the locals have said its been almost 20 years since the last sighting.

  • This "skunk ape" could have stumbled on a rock or root. Remember this was filmed in the Mountains of North Carolina. Come to the Greenway of Franklin, NC and see the traces of this beast! You can smell the creature as you travel down the Greenway towards the area this was filmed. Visit during the summer and you try to discover if this is a fact or fiction creature. Beware! I say! Beware!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not as real as other hoax films. Not as funny as other spoof films. But I clicked on it anyway, so in the end you still win this round. LOL

  • I can't believe all you crazy ass moonshine drinking hillbilly want to fuck a skuck ape in his smelly ass hole "

  • Please understand that this year the weather in WNC has been dry & hot! This could of caused the world famous WNC skunk ape to appear thinner than previous generations of skunk apes. greggwind-thank you for your positive feedback! DLL74-I believe!!!!!! I travel HWY28 north and south in Macon County each week and one evening me, my wife and 8 kids saw the ape cross over the road near "Dry Falls." I tried to get a photo but one of the kids was sitting on the Polaroid camera! Darn kids!

  • very poor attempt .did i mention you suck

  • Not real as bigfoot never was ...pathetic

  • It did have funny little legs and ti's skin didn't fit too well. Maybe the lack of rain has caused weight loss.

  • @DLL74 The smell might also be the paper mill.
