During the Vietnam War more tons of bombs were dropped on that tiny country than were dropped by all parties in World War II. It is responsible for most of the killing Get the full 90 minute Vietnam: American Holocaust at http://VietnamAmericanHolocaust.com

  • @pellenyberg Sorry, didn't realize you were off your meds.

  • @gerry301 9/11 was done by your own goverment. So you cant blame anyone exept your self:)

  • @gerry301 I served In Iraq dumb ass when I came back I opened and airsoft store

  • @Com18Alpha Yes, a lot of pressure was brought to bear because of the success of the SF teams as well as LRPs etc, but the efforts never ceased. You might enjoy reading "Blackjack 33" or " Blackjack 34" as well as "SOG", actual clandestine operations as told by the people who participated in them. There are many more such operations that took place as well. The VC and NVA weren't as slick as many portray them to have been. Nor the US as foolish as to how they fought

  • @gerry301 Interesting information. I will look into these events and programs. From what I heard, since the US couldn't do anything more with Commando Hunt, the VC adapted by constructing multilayered security measures to confront such SF raids. A few months later, reports of maimed SF units or units MIA or KIA were not uncommon. But I'm sure US SF had some great success in the region, its just that the war as a whole did not yield the favorable results to the US. I'll do some research on them.

  • @Com18Alpha The Ho Chi Mihn trail was mostly in Cambodia and Laos, and as far as I am aware the SF troops were never nuetralized. Read about the Hmong road runners who used to dress up as NVA and actually walk down the trail and report what they saw. Project Phoenix in south Vietnam nuetralized the VC and according to the NVA after the war said it was possibly the most effective program the US and ARVN used. There were many such programs as this. You just haven't read about them.

  • @gerry301 I apologize for the US fighting conventional part. But I believe that though the US was unconventional, it had a hard time managing its unconventional warfare against the VC guerrillas and NVAs who were more adaptive than the US initially believed. US sprayed agent orange on its troops by accident (some would dispute). MACV-SOG initiated "Commando Hunt" by sending small SOF units to disrupt the HCM trail, but US never sent GIs to hold these areas. VC adapted and neutralized SOF in HCM.

  • @pellenyberg I'm guessing you believe 9/11 was ok with you then? 3,000 innocent people were murdered in less than an hour, including a few 18 year olds (I remember) on the top floor working at Sabarros pizza.

  • @Infofan Kinda like the Brits in China selling opium for tea. You're just jeolouse because you can't tax our tea anymore.

  • @Com18Alpha Would only argue the "adaptive asymetric warfare vs conventional warfare". I don't believe you know how the war was fought. The US was as asymetric as it was unconventional. However did not have the ability to cross borders where the enemy often had large weapons depots, rest areas, command and control centers. Where regiments went to regroup and refit, where battered battalions went to recouperate, and where units often retreated to after a short but deadly fight.
