the run on the interstate with the Aimhammer sounded like vvt or vtec opening up at high rpm...anyone else hear it? I think these have a variable intake manifold

You are correct, at 5000 RPM it opens up the second runner....It's quite annoying...because before the tuner, it had no power until it hit there.
