NAMED #70 on Triple J's Top 100 of 2006. Pretty good for a cover!
Ben says that he forgot that he was supposed to be on Like a Version and "had to cover a popular song, and turned on my ipod and this was the most recently listened to song and found some drummers in the studio" (11/5/06 in Columbia, MO).... and tada, here we are. On the spot first time thing. Check how he's doing it now on other videos.

Yeah, same. The Iron & Wine version was so good because they slowed it down so much, it was calming and focused on the words more a lot I think. The original is more fast and upbeat, but both are excellent. I'm in love with Ben Gibbard so his will always be my favourite.
Postal service was the original, in 2003.. the song has been covered so many times since then, alot of people think that iron and wine were the original since it was their version which was played in the movie garden state.. but yes it is a postal service song originally..
I heard Ben Folds' version on this song first and REALLY liked it, but after I heard the original by The Postal Service, I was unimpressed by Ben's cover.

Such Great Heights is a Postal Service song.
