I went to the IMAX viewing here in NY, and all I have to say is OMG. I now hang my head in shame for ever doubting James Cameron! This is a cinematic achievement and simply one of the greatest films ever made.
James Cameron promised to take the audience to a new world and did just that. As a matter of fact I'm going to take another trip to Pandora this tomorrow, I think it's worth it ^_^.
I hope this film wins a ton of Oscars as it's well deserving of the awards!

I hope they make a sequel, but I also hope they don't. I want to see more Avatar, but sequels usually sucks. The third movie is usually pretty good though, so can we maybe skip part two and go directly to part 3?

@Sparky9728 It's always sad when we have to say goodbye to Michel Rodriguez in any film. She's so spunky and cute.

who's kat? oh, and zoe saldana played the lady alien right? man, she was nice...

Just saw it an hour ago, breathtaking, Zoe Saldana deserves an Oscar.
It was predictable, but seeing it is almost undescribable I'm shocked by the talent of the visual guys.
PS
Kat looks really good in this video lol
It's true, Blomkamp knew what he could afford to do, and worked within that budget to make perfectly realistic effects in District 9.
But Cameron played by a totally different set of rules and made an entirely immersive world, not just convincingly motion tracked some insectoids in our own.
Both amazing films, but not in the same league at all.
