  • Why did Mo'Nique take her shoes off at the kitchen table and started working her toe nails, damn I'm tired of us using the minstrel show blue print just to make people laugh.

  • I haven't seen this movie yet. I will make plans to watch this week.

  • I agree i feel a sense of being insulted in a way when called Black. Id prefer African American. They generalize all people of color and just call them black when we have roots lying in various parts of Africa. And i see that the majority have accepted it.

  • Mixed messages...great point! We are not black! We have many shades of darkness but we as the majority of people have accepted this label. How is it people seem not to get this? Oh perhaps that was because pale skins wanted it out as well. Also how come the majority of our so called "proud women" seem to be afraid to wear their own natural hair. By the way great hair.

  • another fantastic, truth-telling review. Thank you Ms. Pearl Jr.!
