Eye-Sys - Solar System/Planets

Demo system to demonstrate the wide range of visualizations Eye-Sys is capable of implementing. While not scientifically accurate on the whole, the planet radii and average distance from the sun are accurate, as are the planetary rotation periods. The system visualizes the eight planets in the solar system, the Sun, and Pluto.

You might be thinking of a different tool.

Eye-Sys is a generic visualization tool with a TON of capabilities - so you can pretty much do whatever you have the motivation to do. If there isn't a plug-in to do what you want, there is an API to make your own functionality.

It depends. It's like most powerful applications. The level of your output is proportional to how much work/skill you put into it. There isn't a big red button that labeled "read my mind and do what I expect". Really, you could ask the same question about 3D Studio Max or Photoshop.

i meen is it the sorta thing u can load up and do straight away or is it the sorta thing wher u sit thru hours of tutorials just to do the basic thing?

to do cool stuff, I'd say you probably need to at least go through one of the simple tutorials, but once you get the workflow, it's pretty intuitive. some people get it more quickly than others, but it is WAY easier than 3dsmax.

I can't take credit for the vis. It's one of the example files shipped with Eye-Sys. You can download a completely functional trial and mess with it yourself. It's an interactive vis, not just a movie.
