It is January 14, 1967. A group of hippies speak at the "Human be-in" in Golden Gate Park. They desire to encourage young people from around the nation to visit the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco to join the hippie experience.

  • I like this video and the spirit it represents. Congratulations and great job to the creators. Who can be against peace? Only those who are constantly at war with themselves . Detractors be gone!

  • @badgerbadgerbadgerma If you really want to recreate the be in, your gonna need less clothes and a couple mics of Owsley white lightning acid...

  • You guys have a good spirit. I think your vibes are resonating around the country now.

  • cute ... nice to see your interest in this time .... you convey this timeless message nicely. However this particular assembly of souls was all about LOVE ... not a politically charged rally ... most of those were held in Berkley. But nice job. btw: I was actually there ;D

  • WOW you are the beginning of the new Hippie Culture!!!!

  • @jamesactor Very funny. "If you don't agree with me, go away! Wait, I banish you, wait, I order you to leave. Wait, here's my friend to show you out, throw you out. Here's my friends to rough you up. Here's my group to shut you up for good. Peace, brother, no war, peace man, say it, PEACE!

Some people grow up, others reenact. Without critical review, we are as lost as a kid on ten hits of acid. At some point, you've got to learn not to repeat past mistakes. We all do our best.

  • @rkmugen Many, including me, would argue that those you describe weren't really hippies. Those were early Yuppies. More to it than long hair an the lingo. You're referring more to political activists who stole the style to edge their way in. But they all got high. The real hippies were a bunch of guys (mostly) called The Diggers. They were a bunch of college actors from NYC who wanted to do street theater. They modeled themselves after a 16th century Christian commune. They created it.

  • Embarrassing. What a bunch of long flogged to death cliche's I 'm not knocking the kids performance, but who's idea was it to replicate the idea of replicating all the nauseating BS of the whole thing. What conceit we had back then. All we did was change the nation 's future into a drug infested state headed for a new status as a third world client nation to foreign drug producing crime syndicates. Turn on, tune in, drop, out. Leary couldn't explain what he meant. Oh, cool

  • This is retarded/

  • More like 2007
