Ugo Fantozzi (Paolo Villagio) is an unfortunate Italian accountant. This comical loser with an ugly family and a dead-end job, has to constantly find ways out of the situations that he and others put him through, however, Fantozzi is more resilient than he looks and so patiently weathers all his trials. The 1975 great Italian comedy looks at comical episodes in Fantozzi's life. The translations are prepared by VOSTEN and downloaded from www.allsubs.org.

  • @IntoTheShade I may well consider it. Thanks :)

  • @xuanhien1988 Fantozzi is a very very important comedy movie in Italy. So many expressions used in the movie have entered the common language. There is a very long series of Fantozzi movies, but the very very good ones are the first (this one, "Fantozzi", 1975) and the second "Il secondo tragico Fantozzi", 1976. I'm happy you could enjoy the movie but of course the italian dialog is much much better... I suggest you to learn italian so you can enjoy the movie... It's worth it ;)

  • I first saw this film many years ago (can't remember exactly but I was still a child then). It left me with an immense impression but sadly the only thing I could remember was an unlucky guy with his exceptionally ugly daughter, and no idea of the film title. Well, what can I say? Thanks to google (I literally typed in: italian film misfortune ugly daughter LOL) and to you that I have a change to see all this again (thanks most for the English subtitle).

  • @Archivioinutile I wouldn't call them inaccurate (I live in the US but I speak Italian fluently being born in Italy). I've seen much worse than this. A few sentences are missing, but that happens with a lot of subtitles... overall, they're not that bad at all.
