Hmm, yes, and the US Army is doing brilliantly well in Iraq. Now thats no slight against soldiers in the US Armed Forces, but its a large scale conventional army and therefore not suited for the combat you're speaking of. As well, because the US has generally poor relations around the world, they can not possibly gain the support of local citizens necessary to win a guerilla style war. You can't win these wars with predator drones and smart bombs.

You not serious right? Im no liberal, but you seriously think invading Syria or Iran (or Iraq) will just stop terrorism somehow? The major flaw with the "War on Terror" is simple you trying to fight the Islamist ideology at its extreme. Oddly enough planting US troops in the heart of the Islamic world doens't quell these beliefs. By your logic we'd have all been dead under a cloud of radiation circa 1962
