  • Awkward moment at 5:22. Whats going on with that Ari? lol

  • I was kneed in the head the day before when I was doing my blue belt test.

  • 2:34 what did he say? cant hear him

  • He said "Guns are cool" (laugh)

  • Well said. I wish some of the people at my school would get this.

Ari, I am also a blue belt. I have absolutely no problem with you having two affiliations. I think it just shows that you understand you have to train both gi and no gi. I also have no problem with you teaching as a blue belt. Coaching is a talent, certain people have it, certain people don't.

  • Thank you sir. I respect the rank given to me by my teachers. There is a lot people can offer from many different arts (such as my 10th Planet or Japanese JJ background). Its been over 20 years doing the arts and it has allowed me to meet a great many wonderful people and teachers.

  • I dig his attitude....seems like a really good guy...a rare find in the martial world that often times is packed full of egomaniacs and tools....kudos to him and continued success.

  • great philosophy! thank you.

  • This man is so good its unreal.

  • Thank you for the advice sensei very good info at 5:36

  • I wish I could tap but every time I spar with someone everyone expects me to win. I've fought 8 times without losing and it's like... Guys act like complete dicks when they beat me :( I always try not to tap because I don't want that attitude goin around. oh well I guess it's time to take losses ^^ and dea

  • Great message by Keith Owen - everyone should heed his advice. The only thing that I find "overused" is the whole 10,000 hrs thing. People, in all areas of life, started rattling this off only after the book "Outliers" became popular. It's amazing how people just latch on to little sayings and just keep repeating them over and over. Learning is forever. It begins the day you are born, and it should end the day you die. BJ Penn didn't tap 10,000x. He made OTHERS tap 10,000x!

  • Very wise words and what a great place to learn and train that must be. I've lost count of the amount of kids that come to train, get bust up by meat heads thinking every roll is life or death and never return.

  • Wu Wei Gong Fu? Wu Wei like the Taoist principle?

  • I loved that you said BJJ is about playing--getting better but playing. I love the comradery that occurs when everyone is learning from one another and having a good time. Great video--will share.

  • I wish we had a decent JJ teacher here in whitehorse.
