This is me just showing off my new Grishko Fouettes. These are my very first pair of pointes, and I haven't started my classes yet so this isn't the greatest ^.^ I didn't want to do too much because you aren't supposed to go up without teacher supervision, so I just kinda fudged through it, trying really hard to remind myself not to over do anything. The last thing I want to do is hurt myself before I even get to wear these in class! I don't care for technique advice, or what i'm doing wrong...because I know i'm probably looking terrible, but again...this is my FIRST time. This is just a video to show off my shoes. :-)

The reason I named my shoes Romeo and Juliet:
1: It's a first love for me, getting my pointe shoes was like falling for someone you've never met before and the first time I laid eyes on these babies, I was sold.

2. They're meant for each other, they can't function with out the other.

3. When they die, they'll die together.

4. (R)omeo- Right foot. Ju(L)iet - Left foot. I thought it was cute ^.^

  • I'm not being funny but i have been doing ballet since I was 5 like you and I am now 12 and have been on pointe for nearly a year , you didn't even have them until you were 15. no disrespect but how bad are you?

  • @Geechannel1 It's not that I was bad at ballet or anything, I danced from the time I was 5 until I was 15 and because there was a lot going on at the time I didn't get my pointe shoes then like I was supposed to. So then I took a break and only just got my first pair of pointes at 23 last year. Sometimes, life happens :) It's not because I was lacking in any way, it's because it just wasn't my time yet.

  • @Geechannel1 PLUS my teacher doesn't believe in putting girls on pointe until after they are 13 anyways. So it's all a matter of what your teacher believes is best for you. I took 5 years off of ballet, and that's hard to just jump back into, so she recommended at least 2 years of technique before I got my pointes. It was worth the wait :)

  • uhm i was just wondering how old r u??

  • @Princesslanai100 23 :-) I've been waiting for my pointe shoes since I was 5 years old, I stopped dancing when I was 15 and took a few years off but I just got back into it two years ago and finally have the strength for pointe shoes :-D I actually just broke these ones, I was going to make a new video to show how dead they are lol

  • very smart for not over-doing it and getting up without supervision. it's terrible how many girls are getting hurt by NOT listening to the important things! your shoes look absolutely beautiful! be sure to post vids after your first class! :) good luck!

  • @SkySpy000 I was gripping that chair for dear life just in case ^.^ It doesn't hurt when I go up, but i'm sure once I do this 3 hrs a week I'll feel it then haha. I will DEFINITELY post after I start taking my classes and get more comfortable being up on my own :-D I have SO many choreography ideas that I've been writing down so i'm hoping to post mini-shows eventually! There's nothing better than dressing up in costume and doing what you love!

  • i think this is so good, that you carry on even after you stopped when you were 15, :DD

  • @TheCheesecake432 Honestly, not THAT much. If you do it right it's fine, plus if you have different sized feet (basically everyone does but it's just more noticeable with some) you can model the wool to each foot. Our school does it because it it harder and builds more callouses and muscle

  • @Diehardwickedfan wow does it hurt with lambs wool?

  • @TheCheesecake432 i have Bloch Jetsream

  • i just got mt first pair of pointe shoes two days ago, i have the same toe pads

  • good pointe skills but try not to practice on any type of carpet as it is quit dangerous other than that good job ..x <3

  • I am 13 and i do ballet for 1 months and 1 week (i only stared now but i love :) ) And my teacher said that i have strong feets and that with a couple years of serius training i can star on pointe :) I love the name of your shoes !!! soooo cute

(Sorry about mistakes i not ery good on write english)

  • Did you help by a chair to do the workout?
