Give it a try using the Collectors Eye which can identify a coin by taking a picture. Now available on the android market

hi. this coin is deffinately an ottoman empire coin.the symbal on the front is the seal of the ottoman sultan.each sultan had their own distinct seal ( tughra) made for them.

I think this is a coin of the state of hydrabad in India. The calligraphy is called a Toghra. It is also present in old coins of Egypt.

@nanabhai Hi Nanabhai, thanks for confirming. Yep, you are right !! I discoverd his coin accidentally on ebay, it apparently relates to one of the Nizamas of Hyderabad.
