I remember the following night on the Tonight Show, Jay Leno showed a *gag* clip of what was happening at her feet as she searched for her speech. Essentially a whole bunch of random items fell out of her dress which ended with her handcuffs, badge, and gun. Following that skit, Jay then realized he was missing a joke to which Merkerson stepped out onto the stage and pulled a piece of paper out of her shirt. Jay's response was "It's still warm."
