I was quite lucky to find this Aplomado Falcon south of Laguna Atascosa NWR feeding on a rodent (it appeared to be a Hispid Cotton Rat). These falcons are part of a reintroduced population in southeast texas.

  • This was taken with my Camera Powershot G3 held up to a Swarovski 65mm scope at 20x. It works fairly well. Thanks for the comment.

  • Just checked into that. You can take good stills, youtube res. movies, and use the great spotting scope with or without the camera. I suspected you had some smarts to share when I saw this video ...thanks!
