Video for 'Pram Town', the title song from the fourth solo album by Darren Hayman from Hefner. The video is completely constructed from mobile phone photos. It acts as a companian piece to the Wave Pictures video I made. In that video I constructed still images from moving pictures, here I do the opposite.

  • Darren, You have a skill there, get a better camera mybe a cheap HD one.. you should enter this in some type of competition.. great work!

  • Well maybe I should have made this more obvious, bu the quality is largely due to the concept. That is to say the individual photos were all taken on a crappy camera phone. The fidelity is partly the point.

  • Growing up in Harlow in the late 60s/70s was brilliant. Lots of open green space, loads for children to do in comparative safety. Only when adulthood arrived did Harlow fall on it's backside. From then on the only options were work and pub, nothing in between. Gibberd's post war utopian family based concept was sound and valid, society's expectations changed.

  • I lived in Harlow for 22years plenty off pubs to get pissed up in used to go to whispers on a Thursday night and Hollywood west American wine bar those were the days lol moved to Leeds now

  • might mighty r'low!

  • An adorable song about Town Planning .... kisses : )

  • I grew up in Harlow in the 70s and 80s, and I'm now living back here for a couple of months. First day or two back here were sprinkled with nostalgia - the place seemed a lot greener than I remembered. Today I went into the town centre and remembered why I was so glad to leave. Harlow has a very odd atmosphere... it's like the Wicker Man built in concrete. It'll always have a place in my heart, but I'm not half looking forward to moving back to London...

  • if you read these comments it appears that anyone from harlow who loves it, now seems to live in another country ! dont feel guilty people... admit it harlow is a dismal grey shit hole, nothing and nowhere to go, trouble all the time.. its a soulless dump that needs condemning.. gibberd clearly had no talent

  • @thorpeparkguru I used to live in Harlow I now live in the USA, but Harlow will always have a special place in my heart. I loved it.

  • I love this video... I grew up in 'Arlow and couldn't wait to get out..!!

Shame you didn't get a punch-up outside the kebab shop and some drunk girls throwing up in a bin by the taxi rank...

Great work (I'm a fellow film maker and editor) - must subscribe...

  • great - remember this being talked about by darren and marc riley on 6 music - beaut!iful harlow!
