On Sunday 12th December, starting at 1pm, a set of 5 'Pantomime Horses' will be racing from Greenwich's Davenport House ( near to Greenwich Park entrance gates) and then racing through and stopping off at various public houses en route before staggering to the finishing line...all in the name of charity- Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital .

Race starts at 1pm
...
Starting line:
Davenport House (near to Greenwich Park entrance)
The Horses will race past the main park entrance gates and then bank right onto Nevada Street where the Horses will reach their 1st 'Pit stop'...

The Rose & Crown (Nevada Street)

The thirsty 'Horses' will then enter the Pub and have their 1st (5-10 minute maximum) stay/drink and then they will leave the bar to be confronted with their 1st set of obstacles they need to overcome to gain the best times that will affect their lead in the race..Once they have completed their obstacles, the Horses then head straight across the road to...

Oliver's Bar ( Nevada Street)

Those thirsty 'Horses' will then head downstairs for yet another quick drink for a 5-10 minute maximum stay before heading out to be confronted yet again, with another set of obstacles... Once completed, The Horses will start the 2nd leg of the race that will take them through Burney Street onto Royal Hill. They will be running uphill onto the next pit stop which will be...

Richard 1st (Royal Hill )

Those poor 'Horses' will no doubt be grateful for a pit stop to quench their thirst however before they enter the next pit stop, they must undergo yet another set of obstacles before finally having a well deserved 5-10 minute stay.

Upon leaving, those poor unfortunate Horses will again be confronted by obstacles that they will need to overcome to enter their next pit stop, which thankfully, is just next door and is called...

The Union (Royal Hill)

This will be the 'Horses' final pit stop so competing Horses will be going all out to ensure their rival Horses have drunk enough to 'quench' their thirst.

Upon leaving, the race will re-line their places earned from points won in the obstacle race along with their race placing. The Horses will then start their 3rd and Final leg of the race to the finishing line that will take them from Royal Hill onto Circus Street that leads direct to....

The Morden Arms (Brand Street)

Before the Horses struggle to the finish line, they will be confronted with their final set of obstacles that will determine the outright winner of the race...Not as easy as it sounds :)

The Prize: The winning Horse (Pub) will be awarded the lucky Whore-shoe award and those tired and battered 'Horses' can then take a very well deserved rest at the Morden race end party.

Along the race route, there will be an entourage of volunteers with Buckets asking you to donate to Great Ormond Street.
Every penny counts so please give what you can.

Fancy Dress

I have had a good few emails asking if people can turn up in fancy dress. My answer to this is absolutely. Furthermore, I can also help arrange discounts if you are looking to hire fancy dress via
www.madworldfancydress.com
