  • so glad you are doing this! why the multiple short short videos? make one long one that elucidates the important subject!

  • why the long introduction? get to what you have to say, quick. I'm tired of all this "branding" these days. It's a neural surfer production, who cares.

  • (contd.) ...to boot, just as all the other materialists such as Dennett. The existence of wholes such as atoms, brains, is totally equivalent with the real existence odf mental phenomena, simply because in a physical reality assumed to be dead, there cannot be any conception of the "belonging together" of such parts as an atomic nucleus with its electron. Hence in objective physical reality, there simply is no atom.

    But as all liars, she wants to have it both ways to stay in business.

  • 1. Scientific reductionism is not identical with eliminative materialism. You can be scientifically a reductive physicalist while at the same time believing that all these physical phenomena are thoughts in the mind of God or some such (Berkeley).

    2. Churchland is unwarrantedly claiming a fundamental difference between mental terminology and other terminology describing wholes (such as atom, molecules etc.) which are equally absent in a purely materialistic world. Therefore she is disingenious
