"Forests: A Piece of the Puzzle" was made by high school students participating in Climate Quest at Western Washington University during the summer of 2007. Participants studied present and future effects of global warming on the Nooksack River watershed and bioregion, while documenting and sharing their learning experience and perspective through film.

Climate Quest is a national educational network of programs that bring together high school students, college students and college instructors to comprehensively study the climate crisis.

  • Your forests facts are way off kidlets. It is proven that we have more forestland now then when the Pilgrims arrived at Plymouth rock simply due to fire prevention alone and that doesn't include the 8 trees planted for every one harvested and the natural grow back on top of that! The US has 244 million acres of forest preserved that will never be touched.2 out of every 3 wooded acres are set aside. Thanks just had to vent that out. lol :)
