The Trickle Down Mat is the heart and soul of the Modified Trickle Down collector. The frame is important as is the Trickle Down Distributor and the Gutter, but without a TDM to disperse and carry the water this type of collector would be impossible. Ther are many ways to build a TDM. This is one method. With an MTD kit a TDM takes 10 minuits to assemble,

    The cost of the collector will vary between $4 and $6 per sq ft depending on the size of the system. Bigger is better. The first one will take a day to build, but once you get the hang of it ...the entire collector can be assembled from parts in a half hour.

  • Good job. How much does a system like this cost? Lets say per collector. How much water is heated by one collector?
