you what ive noticed....on TV, the cars look fast, but in real life if you actually go to a race they're going a whole lot faster than you regurally see on TV....

@mcqueenthee - It's happened 3 times at Talladega. Spring of 1997 and 2001. And the 2002 fall race at Talladega was caution free as well. But there was one incident during the warm up laps. Pole-sitter Jimmie Johnson got run into by Mark Martin, who was warming his tires up when the steering locked. They were still under yellow, the green flag had not been thrown so officially the race had not started. Once the green was thrown for the start the yellow was not seen again.

@LoRah612 the only danger that i have seen with the new cars was before the spoiler came back and that was the life they got from the wing. so you bring up a good point.

With the proven safety of the COT and the new extra giant catch fences I guess I just don't see why they can't allow them to run between 200-210MPH. I mean look at the wrecks that the COT has seen and NOBODY to my knowledge has been injured. Maybe there is some danger I don't know of I'm not an engineer, just observation.
