**WIN A FREE POLAR**

Artist Collaborations Contest.
Tell us how longboarding and art are inseparable!! It's in the way we move on our boards, flow down a hill, or soulfully move from point a to point b. It's in the way we shoot our videos and share our riding with others. It's on our boards, from the homemade graphics to the custom grip tape. Whether we realize it or not art is very much a part of longboarding. Sayshun appreciates that art and wants you to do the same.

We want to know how you think longboarding and art are inseparable. Tell us how you ride or how you've made your own graphic in the comments section below. The response we like the best will win you a brand new Polar with an Artist Collaboration's graphic done by Russ Mills, the artist featured in this video.

So add your comments! The contest closes once this video has received 200+ comments. You can leave more than one comment but put thought into your post as we are looking for the one that really inspires us!! Please help us out and thumb up your favourite comments.

  • Longboarding is like a giant canvas,

you make what you want of it, or leave it blank.

practice what you dont know, so that your canvas will be attractive to different types of people,

but try to excell at what your best at.

But still ride within you limits and dont try to be something your not.

So that at the end you will have YOUR perfect canvas not anyone elses.

  • I believe longboarding is an never-ending picture which the skater paints, inch by inch, push by push. Every move has a story and a history to tell. No one can fully understand the meaning of the picture, but the painter himself.. But it doesn't matter though, since the history doesn't matter. It's the future that really counts. The world is full of concrete, what are you ready to do with it? Where do you want to skate, and how are you going to skate it? Only your imagination puts an end to it..

  • this is a cool video, awesome work russ mills

  • i believe that longboarding is whatever the skater wants it to be, i dont really think you can classify longboarding as any one thing, its unique to every partisipent.. theres no right or wrong with longboarding, its only different.

  • Longboarding is when you look at a hill and think 'i would tap that'. Staying up all night just to avoid the traffic and bomb a hill at 3am with your mates will never be a waste of time. If you eat tarmac just in front of a complete strange who's on a longboard, they will only ever laugh not rip your already torn up face off. And when you bail at 50mph and then jump back up on your board after pulling it out a hedge and go agian - you know you're hooked.

  • Some folk live in concrete and gray necessity, and can't wait to escape. Some of us, though, live in dream city. We find ways to bend it, change it, own it, make it beautiful. When I skate I'm adapting, I'm meditating, I'm learning, I'm adding color, I'm giving something back. Even though nobody saw me throw that perfect pump to carve to slide - I was there. I performed something great. I couldn't do that without the board under my feet. Ten thousand heavy years flowed to let that moment happen.

  • The road is my canvas, The board my brush; Watch me paint a masterpiece...

  • @smrgilo I wasn't talking to you

  • Rather than explain why longboarding and art are inseparable, take a look at the longboard films on my channel and let them do the explaining. Check out 'Yellow' and also 'Slide' which made a brief appearance in this video at 1:10

  • My board is my brush and my thane the paint, together we've made masterpieces only comparable to the Sistine chapel. it is after an expressed extension of one self much the same as a painting.
