@MultiKB13 he has half slabs on the mob spawning pads to prevent spiders from spawning. This is probably because they're a pain to deal with, being 2 blocks by 2 blocks wide plus they can climb.

You should replace the glass panes at the bottom of the Plinko machine with iron bars. They're the same thickness as glass panes, but much harder to accidentally break.
