Before I talk about the actual video... it appears YouTube's April Fool's Day setup is still working! Simply add &flip=1 to the end of any video's URL and you can watch the upside-down version~ Just note that annotaitons do not appear in the flipped version at all.

The end is near! Bowser's palace is in sight, and Mario gets ever nearer! Surely nothing can stand in Mario's way now as he makes his way to the finish, determination on his face and taking out anything that tries to stop him! ...Today we make lots of progress towards said goal by going through THREE stages, wheeee!

Stage 6: Koopa Lake #2 - What is it with world 7 and having stage name references from waaaaaaaay back in worlds 1 and 2? This level does not even have the Koopa Beach music, but instead uses the remixed Castle theme from Yoshi's Island... again! The stage itself is pretty easy, though, and lots of fun! There are plenty of little obstacles to get past to clear the stage, but as long as you keep moving you should be okay. Cannot really think of anything else to comment on though... other than the fire flower is probably the most ideal power-up for this stage, even if I did not used it very often.

Stage 7: Freezeflame Rock - Someone was playing Mario Galaxy while making this rom hack, I see. Making an obvious reference to the Freezeflame Galaxy from said game, the rom hack author takes a similar spin by having the stage keep switching you back and forth between lava segments and ice segments throughout the whole stage. This stage is a PAIN though as it has some of the most cruel jumps in the entire hack. I do no know about you, but I really hate having to time my jumps based on a moving koopa and then proceeding to have to aim to get through a very small opening. If the opening were two tiles wide I would be okay with, but one tile is just cheap!

Stage 8: Disturbing Castle - I really do not know what is supposed to be so disturbing about this castle. This is one of the shortest castle stages in the game, and is pretty easy, too! There is also nothing 'disturbing' about the colour scheme or design of the place, either... I dunno, I just do not get why it was named this way. Just bring a cape and all manner of difficulty should be removed from this stage altogether. Once this stage is out of the way... it is onto the final stage!

You can download this rom hack from:

Do NOT ask me where to find the actual Super Mario World rom. I will not tell you where to find it, and persistent asking will get you blocked, understood?

Enjoy!~
