Testing the "widescreen" mode of my ex-s880 & demonstrating my battery powered Korg EM-1. I installed 8 AAs internally, for music making anywhere.

  • Nice work! So the batteries seem to be inside the case itself? My friend and I made the standard external battery back ( R/C Car)

  • @VJFranzK yeah I put them inside, 6 months later the velcro failed and the battery pack knocked a capacitor off the circuit board T_T thankfully I soldered on a new one and it works perfectly again. now I'm back to an external pack, but I think I might put them inside again. I just don't want to epoxy them in only to have the cells hold half their charge in a year...

  • Is there a tutorial anywhere for this mod?

  • @YouLoveInsomnia I just put 8 AAA's in parallel with the power plug.. the supplied power adapter is actually perfectly suited to trickle charge them

  • Pretty sweet, How long does 8 AA's get you?

  • @420Hallucin8 not long enough because I bought shitty chinese cells off ebay.. use name-brand cells, especially ones with a quoted capacity on the packaging. I found the drain of my em-1 to be ~90ma, though I didn't do extensive testing whatsoever. use your meter to measure the current draw of your tribe; that over the batt capacity (assuming the voltage drop doesnt go below what the tribe needs) equals runtime

  • I did not know the baetmachine can be charge with a battery?

  • How'd you do that! ;) SWWWWEEEET!

  • @nuemerik NiMH cells are actually 1.2v, 8x1.2=9.6, the tribes can handle this as far as I can tell

  • I thought the electribe uses 9v power. If you use AA it will produce 12v correct? I want to try a similar project can you give me some details?

  • This Video shows anybody interested i this product.....Fuck all!!!
