Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Passenger Ride

I was fortunate enough to be offered a passenger ride in a brand new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey.

The SLS has a 6.2-litre V8 that makes 563BHP and 480ft.lb. The car, with its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, gets to 60 in 3.8 seconds flat and tops out at a reputedly limited 197MPH.

A professional driver was behind the wheel and the tight, twisty track certainly made the car and driver work hard, especially given the wet and windy conditions!

Apologies for the shaky camera footage but there was no time for mounts or viewfinder work, only the opportunity to just leap in, jamming the camera against the top of the door frame - so hang on, like I did, and just listen to that V8!
