An activist and the police have come up with a new way to reduce the noise from boom cars.

Residents can file a mail-in complaint form and the police will follow up with a warning letter alerting the motorist the noise from their vehicle is a nuisance.

  • I have a reasonable expectation to be free from outside disturbances inside my house. Just because someone spends money on a sound system it doesn't mean that I'm obligated to spend a lot more money on a new place to practice just to get away from the noise. If I can hear the sound in my house with the windows closed then someone's crossed the line. Others rights end where mine begin, and I'm really ticked off about all of the unnessesary interruptions!

  • the music is not for just a second. more like 10-20, just enough for me to put down the guitar that I was recording and tear my hair out. then sometimes they sit in the parking lot on the other corner... and I want to start breating fire.

  • Why does the right of someone to have quiet overrule someones right to play music at their enjoyment level? How is either side of the argument not affecting someones well being, happiness and rights, and who is right and who is wrong. One person wants quiet, one wants music to their enjoyment level. The person wanting quiet imposes on the rights of the person wanting volume. The person wanting music imposes on the rights of the person who wants quiet. Perfect argument that lawyers & cops love.
