The Jackofficers was a side project started by Gibby Haynes and Jeff Pinkus of the Butthole Surfers. They released Digital Dump, in 1990. In small venue concerts they came out ( no band) with a Walkman and stood there while the songs played. It was the best they could do with early computers, but the whole album is genius. Go buy it now.

This song Ventricular Refibrillation features some interesting sound bytes, most notably, from the Iran Contra hearings in 1987. Specifically Ollie North ("it isnt as difficult for you, as it is for a guy whos gotta come up here and tell the truth") and his mucho caliente secretary, Fawn Hall ("...I just feel that...just feel that...just feel that...just feel that..." responding to a congressman asking her if she knew any good modeling tricks to loosen up photographers!). The other sound-bites are of a doctor repeating "ventricular fibrillation" and another clip saying "we have sawed off double barrel-shotguns!" Very hypnotic at the end. Mushrooms would go well with this.

Two words on Iran-Contra, Reagan, and the whole goddamned spectacle: plausible deniability. Read a history book and educate yourself on the whole thing. Otherwise enjoy the tune.

  • Anybody remember p???

  • @hoovermanuver1 Yeah, I had heard..this was a BHS side project that was on stage at the Viper Room in LA, the night that River Phoenix died of an OD. ( including Johnny Depp, Bill Carter, Sal Jenco, Flea, and "others", supposedly including Adrian Sherwood of Tackhead/Ministry production days)..However, and despite the attributed nonsense from wiki etc, my sources say a copy of that show exists. THAT would be nice to get!

  • Can you upload the rest of digital Dump

  • @Wickalodeon Working on it..lost a hard-drive with several new and old vids...dammit!
