could someone tell me what how the phrase for what the hell are you doing breaks down word for word? i remember hearing parents say this to their kids when they're mad so i doubt it translate literally as strongly as we would say it. well, unless there's another phrase that sounds similar that they might've been saying. it has been a long time since i lived in japan.
