  • Flying a multi engine airplane is very similar to a single until one engine shuts down. of the 3 minimum training hours required for your multi add on certificate, you can safely plan on 2 to 2.5 of those being on one motor. after all, thats why we fly twins- for the added safety that a 2nd engine provides-
