On May 1, the day of his book's release, author J. Patrick O'Connor was interviewed at Philadelphia City Hall about "The Framing of Mumia Abu-Jamal."
In part two of this interview, he discusses the March 27 ruling by the US Third Circuit Court of Appeals denying Mumia a new guilt-phase trial. In his book, O'Connor felt strongly that Mumia would be granted a new trial, and in light of the contrary ruling, he argues that the court made a political decision and actually went against court precedent to do this.

he has always been innocent. Mumia is a victim of capitalism, white supremacy on black color. The system will not let him go because he posses the intelligence and can see how the system works and those that run it. The devil system is afraid of the angel...
Excuse my ignorance but what did Mumia do? Not what are the charges against him, but why are they after him? What did he do prior? What did he know? I just stumbled upon this and can only find how people are after him. What made him so dangerous to those in power? Was he a freedom fighter or was he just a black man at the wrong place at the wrong time?
