A long white carpet. A blank canvas. A chance for a community to talk together. A controversy. An answer to a question. Public art at work.
A documentary which tells the story of a 48-hour interactive public art installation in Torquay, South Devon. Created by Gingko Projects, Torbay Council, the University of Exeter Drama Department and OSA, this event became a large-scale public consultation piece. Documentary narrated by Kristofer Darby.
I'm so proud to have been involved with the creation of this site-specific theatre piece. Watching the 500 participants walk down the white carpet, write their hopes for their town, share their memories, and talk to each other was so inspiring. Many thanks to all who helped us create it.
