Effects of lag in Global Agenda

260ms~ ping out of combat, 300ms+ ping in combat. 50-100fps avg

A video showing the effects of bad ping in Global Agenda - it goes to show that the game is greatly skewed against those with higher pings (being a shooter and all).

Laggy shot trajectory, delayed projectile firing, warping jetpacks, and buggy melee (better seen in actual combat) all lead to a frustrating experience. I AM AWARE THAT I DO NOT SHOWCASE JUST HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TO LEAD TO HIT SOMEBODY WITH THIS SORT OF PING, but this should be clear enough with the 2 minigun tracers. The game isn't bad though - just needs international servers and a hell of a lot of polish. At the time of upload, the game is two weeks from release.

the UT engines never had lag compensation, so the least hi-rez studios can do is give us some sort of guarantee that those outside of the UK and US will be given access to local servers (ie. a date), otherwise it's refund land for me.

ps. i live in australia - we get bad pings to all international servers. but I would imagine it would be the same for every other country not adjacent to server location.

@mechman54321 no, lag compensation is shit. It gets exploited, global agenda needs more local server, or you need better internet. Lag compensation rewards bad connections, and penalizes good connections, which is why 'artifical latency' boxes can be bought, to exploit these issues. No lag compensation pls -_-

@EccentricBriChu guys lag means TWO things, there is latency, caused from your internet, and a bad framerate due to a shit computer -_- He has bad LATENCY, you can have bad latency on the fastest computer in the world, if you live on the other side of the world from the server...
