Beth hopes that her new hat(based on the one Donald wore in Fat Albert)is a business opportunity that Don Green (George Hamilton)can't refuse. Jimmy gives Beth and Lisa some negotiation tips, but Lisa finds that they don't work so well on Dave when she asks him for a raise. Bill's relationship with his new girlfriend is complicated by the fact that she thinks he's British.

The character of Beth was based on Paul Simms' sister.

The role of the mobster was originally written for Dana Carvey, but he was unavailable. Also, the network didn't want the mobster to be Italian because they were afraid that it was going to be offensive. That's why the mobster's character name is Don Green.

Although it is later well established that Lisa's parents did not allow her to watch TV as a child, in this episode she is inexplicably very well acquainted with all the characters from 70's kids show Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids.

Dave's favorite movie: Logan's Run.

Jimmy: I think this is going to go through the looking glass.
This is an obvious reference to Lewis Carroll's Through The Looking Glass And What Alice Found There, but there's also a very similar line in Oliver Stone's 1993 film JFK, Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner)tells his staff that they have gone through the looking glass while he's explaining his Kennedy assassination conspiracy theory.

Episode title is named after a Led Zeppelin album. Technically the album is titled Led Zeppelin IV, but many people call it the Zoso album based on the cover art.

As long as you're pointing out errors like the Lisa vs TV discontinuity, I spotted another one. She left a digit out of her mental math. Sqrt(137)=11.7046, not 11.046.

Good one. I imagine if a group of people specifically watched this entire series just to point out factual and script errors, there would be MANY we are missing. I think the reason there are so many errors is because the writing staff was so large, but even with tv shows that have a small group of writers this happens, so I just don't get this phenomenon. Maybe these errors are done on purpose, who knows?

From my smoke hazed past I remember those symbols representing each member of the band. "Zoso" was exclusively the symbol for Jimmy Page. One of my friends was a guitarist and was so enamoured with Page that he inked "Zoso" on the back of his jean jacket - with a Bic pen.

And it's cute the way she and Dave use it as an excuse to flirt.
