Just surfing for some Alice to spend Halloween with, and came across this. This footage must be amazingly rare -- thanks for sharing it! I'm thrilled to have seen it. People now are like, shrug, whatever, but can you imagine what the crowd thought when HE walked out on stage of a club for the 1st time way back then??! He was the original (and he's still got it).

Just saw him at Fort McCoy in August, and at 60 1/2 he STILL has it. If you get the chance see him. He did this on Aug 15th and it was even better than in 88

Would have liked to have gone to that concert. I saw him years ago in the Glasgow Apollo in late 81 or 82 on the 'Special Forces' tour. However, I can't say that that was his 'tour to force', particularly with his renditions of the 'old fav's', although some of the then newer numbers were reasonable - tracks such 'We are clones' (one can get the Apollo version on Utube) and the title track. I saw him a few years later in the Playhouse and he had returned to his 'old self'.

I finally got to see him after 30 odd years of waiting. It was Halloween last year [2011] in Glasgow, and it was as fabulous as I hoped it would be. im also a big Rolf fan. Yay!

I have seen Alice live 40 times.. the 1st time in December, 1971 in Detroit.. but I am still hoping to see this live for the 1st time..

Yes, that is the same manner that he introduced the song at Aquinas HS near Detroit, prior to Toronto.
