  • Just saw him at Fort McCoy in August, and at 60 1/2 he STILL has it. If you get the chance see him. He did this on Aug 15th and it was even better than in 88

  • Just surfing for some Alice to spend Halloween with, and came across this. This footage must be amazingly rare -- thanks for sharing it! I'm thrilled to have seen it. People now are like, shrug, whatever, but can you imagine what the crowd thought when HE walked out on stage of a club for the 1st time way back then??! He was the original (and he's still got it).

  • Love it! Written by Rolf Harris in 1962 and co-written with the later-renowned Australian naturalist an TV personality Harry Butler. Recorded by Alice in 1971.

  • Cruel, I was born early 60ies

  • @Incivilius Eighteen was released on the Love It To Death album this song was also.

  • @michelesaintthomas Ya know Michele, I tell people that (about the hammer), and they blame the drugs I'm on!!!! lol! Sun Arise was the opening song, but you knew that. Too bad about Buxton (RIP). I think Vince could have named himself and the group "Bud Wiser", and still hit the charts - but of course, they would have been one hit wonders like the "Frijid Pink". Did you see the "Who" when they played Southfield High School as the opening act for The Amboy Dukes?

  • @GonzoGuyy

    Hi Gonzo Guy,

I am in complete agreement with you on this, the original Alice Cooper backing band was incredible!!!

  • @rollingold1

Yes, that is the same manner that he introduced the song at Aquinas HS near Detroit, prior to Toronto.

  • @Incivilius

Of-course, saw a performance of Alice hitting the stage with a hammer at Aquinas HS, on the Easy Action tour!!!

  • This has to be from the Detroit area, Aquinas High School in Southgate, the East Town Theater in Detroit or another venue from the very early seventies, even before "I'm Eighteen" was released.

  • again. Lung sounds here.... one of the reasons I turned to music....for a career...never made any money yet though

  • what year is this from?
