Presenter and Archaeologist James Balme discovered a rare Roman silver snake bracelet in a field in Cheshire and it was so rare that it was declared Treasure Trove by Coroner John Pollard at Stockport County Court. The bracelet that is now being purchased by Manchester Museum will hopefully go on display in the future. James explains why so many rare Roman artefacts have been recovered during his research.

  • One of the roman silver denarius has sawed edges....a silver coin with such edges at the rim is called "Serratus denarius", a late republician roman silver coin. This edges were to show that the coin is made of solid silver and has not a bronze core.

    Great finds ;)

  • DIg deeper and you might find more.
