The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking to identify the suspect who robbed a 23 year-old male in Franklinville.
On March 5, 2013, at 5:17pm, the complainant, a 23 year-old male was walking south on the 3200 block of North Broad Street when he was approached by an unknown male who was asking him for money. The suspect then stated he had a gun and tapped his pocket. The complainant reached into his backpack and gave the suspect his wallet. The suspect then put his arm around the complainant and continued to walk with him until the complainant broke free from the suspect and ran for help. After taking the complainant's wallet containing identification and $20 in cash the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
Suspect Description: Black male, early to mid 20 years-of-age, light complexion, 6'0″, thin build, wearing a black knit hat, white tee-shirt, dark zip-up jacket and dark khaki pants.
