In the Traditional liturgical calendar, the Feast of Immaculate Heart is celebrated on 22nd of August. The history of this devotion is connected on many points with that to the Heart of Jesus. The attention of Christians was early attracted by the love and virtues of the Heart of Mary. The Gospels recount the prophesy delivered to her at Jesus' presentation at the temple: that her heart would be pierced with a sword. This image of the pierced heart is the most popular representation of the Immaculate Heart. The Gospels further invited attention to Mary's heart with its depictions of Mary at the foot of the cross at Jesus' crucifixion. St. Augustine said of this that Mary was not merely passive at the foot of the cross; "she cooperated through charity in the work of our redemption"

  • Yes, you are right, Jerseygirl8999, the second coming of Our Saviour is the only way for you to see the truth, but it will be too late. May God have mercy on you

  • John 19:27 is response to what 'chookna' has to say.

  • @1978dagreat Did I not explain that we DO not worship her? It's alright to use caps, I know why you did anyhow. Say for example you have a good friend, your best friend, who is a very holy man and is a true saint in our time. He says he prays for you constantly, and because he is very holy, is close to God's heart and God listens to him when he prays, for his will is God's will and wills nothing that God wouldn't. This is what Mary is to all Christians. Our true intercessor

  • @outtaker when was she "taken" to heaven then? and the scriptures I posted explain exactly how it's done. It's ALL about JESUS not mary. Sorry for using caps, but I do for emphasis because its very important to understand. God gave us the Holy Bible to get our FACTS from. Worshipping mary is wrong and she is not a savior.

  • @outtaker I

John 14:6 JESUS SAITH unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life: NO MAN COMETH unto the FATHER, BUT BY ***ME***.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there SALVATION in any other: for there is NONE other NAME UNDER HEAVEN given among men, whereby WE MUST BE SAVED.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS GLORY, the glory as of the ONLY begotten of the Father, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.

Only JESUS is FULL OF GRACE not mary

  • I will never pray to mary

  • @1978dagreat Catholics have always believed Christ alone died for our sins, and was resurrected; yet Mary is Co-Redeemer with Christ for she accepted God's divine call through the angel Gabriel! Have you pride that you refuse to accept her significance? That you refuse her role from the beginning of Christ's life to his ascension? She is the Lady of Sorrows, the Virgin Mother, the Chosen Mother of God! Look into Scripture! And Into Your Heart!

  • @1978dagreat You have ears, yet do not hear! I never said she resurrected! She never died! That which does not die cannot be resurrected, which implies death first! It is not alleged, thou skeptic! Mary is named as mother of Jesus in multiple instances in the Gospels. Ex: Matt 2: 11.

We need to pray to Mary, to the saints, as well as Jesus for we are further from God and Jesus than you think! The saints and the Virgin Mary close the gap! God hears the just man's prayers!

  • @1978dagreat

Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is CHRIST THAT DIED, yea rather, that is RISEN AGAIN, who is even at the RIGHT HAND OF GOD, WHO also maketh INTERCESSION for us

Rom 11:2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how HE MAKETH INTERCESSION TO GOD against Israel, saying

Hbr 7:25 Wherefore HE IS ABLE also TO SAVE them to the UTTERMOST that come unto GOD BY HIM, seeing HE EVER LIVETH TO MAKE INTERCESSION for them.

  • @outtaker Name of eyewitness, date of her resurrection and location please. Jesus is our only Intercessor we dont need a fabricated idea of stone, ceramic plastered idol of the illeged mother of God, Jesus Christ, creator of all things, seen and unseen.

    Rom 8:27

And HE (JESUS) that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because HE maketh INTERCESSION for the saints according to the WILL OF GOD.

  • @1978dagreat She is not an idol, nor do we worship her. Through Mary however, we have a powerful intercessor; she who had God's great favor! She prays for us, as we do for each other, to protect us from sin. Of course this favor is granted from God! She prays to Him, with us. However she had greater favor from God...she is full of grace, and was therefore immaculately conceived! No one is full of grace after birth, for we all are born with original sin. Pray for us, Holy Mother of God!

  • @1978dagreat Jesus? Why, it's a holy name! I sometimes pray the devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus. Of course, Jesus Christ is our only redeemer/savior. Why He is God incarnate! Catholics do not, have not, will not deny Jesus as our God. We did not fabricate Mary's importance. It is present in Scripture, how important she is! We do not believe she rose from the grave, only Christ and the holy men of Jerusalem did that! We believe she ascended into heaven, because of God's divine favor!
