Sensational in any season! Voted 1 of top 10 B&Bs in US.

Bloomsbury, originally built in 1849 by James Chesnut, Sr. and Mary Cox Chesnut, was often times host to Mary Boykin Chesnut who wrote "A Diary from Dixie during the Civil War".

Inside the lovingly restored home, with uncompromising attention to detail, a warm and welcoming retreat awaits you. Bloomsbury offers luxury accommodations...from fresh baked treats to a complimentary social. From evening turndown service to personally designed packages, you will be pampered as you enjoy one of the most significantly historical homes of the South.

  • @mkervelegan I drive up to Camden to see my ma who lives there and the bigger the house the more up-tight they are. Camden is stuck in the past..it is a dying city.

  • Camnden (as in damn-) not so friendly...I went there while in law enforcement academy and parked legally in front of someone's house, explaining I was looking for the places Mary Chesnut knew...she just said, how weird.
