WarDevil: Unleash the Beast Within is an fantasy action-adventure video game currently in production by CGI and games development company Digi-Guys, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
Players will assume the role of the mysterious WarDevil, traveling through what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world. The game designers said to expect levels in such places as ruined wastelands, desert strongholds, and military bases.
The game uses a new and sophisticated gaming engine called RTE1080 (real time engine). The WarDevil RTE1080 Engine has been developed by Digi-Guys to realize the graphical depth and complexity that's required for the WarDevil game. The RTE1080 is designed to work in 1920x1080 HD and run at 60 fps, to create a visual style that surpasses the look and feel of pre-rendered FMV sequences.

  • Well I'll take your word for it, and I'm not even slightly surprised knowing what I know about Digi-guys / Ignition, ( which is more than most people) :)

  • What do you mean realtime. I believe this is an in-engine cutscene, It's running a predefined stored animation, the only real "live" task would be skinning. The renderer running at 60 is perhaps possible though 50 would be more likely, probably the characters and effects are updating slower than that, every other frame maybe.

Could the engine run that speed if it was also running AI, physics, collision, LOS tests and all the other tasks that make a game? I doubt it very much.

  • everytime i see this teaser i laugh, probably because of the unneeded epic music set to a dude that's stabbing two monsters that are already basically dead. After seeing this for the first time my interest for the game went from "it could be a little more than meh" to "this is stupid as shit".

  • Do people think we 're really that stupid? Everyone can see that this is not a real-time in engine video. It is obviously pre-rendered and it even lacks proper physics. Plus despite being pre-rendered it just happens to be blocky and really ugly (dare i say previous gen), even the music is highly unoriginal.

  • on the internet... you actually can simply go on over to "ps3bigskydownload" and get a hold of this game for definitely without charge. we've gamed it and it's actually a really good game. just google "ps3bigskydownload" and take a look at the first link. we anticipate anyone fancy it!

  • i downloaded ps3 games on my laptop for positively free. google "ps3 zappy download" and click the first link. What a super ps3 video game website... :) All the latest games can be downloaded from the "ps3 zappy download" website! just google "ps3 zappy download"

  • this trailer fails... i mean is this game just going around and killing people that are already dead?

  • Nothing at GDC - again.

  • Ok that trailer was...to say the least pointless. There is no point in having an in game rendered cutscene, and he was obviously killing his enemies again, because he wasn't good enough in the first place. So...if this was an official trailer, the developers have dug themselves into a hole.

  • the whole thing about that company just doesn't make sense. It's more than likely a scam. They simply don't have what it takes to bring this to fruition.
