Hot of the release of their debut album Come Howling, the Wellington-based band won over audiences with their addictive indie-pop. Loosely translated, batucada means percussive samba jam, which aptly summarises Batucada Sound Machine. The 13-piece band closed out LATE 02: Culture Compass on an energetic and eclectic high.
