Pete Seeger, Tao Rodríguez-Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Guy Davis, Tom Paxton, Tom Chapin and David Amram joined Occupy Wall Street on a march from Broadway and 95th Street in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, down to Columbus Circle at Broadway and 59th Street. When we got there, this is what happened.

  • This brought tears to my eyes. We Shall Overcome is the most beautiful song in American history and hearing these people sing it so wonderfully made me think of Martin Luther King Jr. I wish he was still alive, I know he would have been out there with these patriots.

  • WELCOME BACK AMERICA...THANK YOU PETE

  • Where is Mr B Obama? Pete sang for him, why isn't he here?

  • @mikeygeneral -Capitalism may be a part of this country but it should not be the only thing.Conserve politicians have the idea that the purpose of this country is to serve big business/Wall Street/military industrial complex. In 2003 a repub house, senate and president passed a unfunded entitlement Medicare Prescript Part D which was nothing more the corporate welfare for big pharma and tax payers got the bill. Wake up America and stop helping the GOP pick your pocket!

  • Us blacks been singing that when you weren't. And we still didn't overcome. Now look at this mess. Copyright infringement.

  • We look like mindless robots instead of human beings when we rush the doors of the stores on Black Friday and trample people to the point of crushing an employee to death. This behavior begs the question, what do we VALUE more: A PERSON'S LIFE....or.....A BARGAIN? Let's answer this question with our spending and shopping habits. Let's love ourselves and each other.

  • We should also be protesting with what little money we have. Before we buy ANYTHING, we should ask ourselves if we really need that item. For instance, I can drink water, I don't need soda sweetened with h.f. corn syrup that's bad for me anyway but makes the corporations more money.

Corporations get rich on marketing strategies like impulse buying and manipulative tactics like "Black Friday" sales. DON'T BE MANIPULATED BY THE GREEDY! Think before you buy. Boycott Black Friday type hype.

  • PETE!!! You're still there

    just like Joe Hill

  • Pete..

    AMEN
