This is a video of the third trial of the microtrenching machine owned by Sharp Concrete Cutters and Drillers Ltd. It performed better than expected and everyone is happy with the results. Microtrenching cuts a 13mm wide x 230mm deep cut through asphalt and base course for laying fibre optic cable. It is a dry-cut system where the dust is collected in a dust extraction vacuum system and taken away for disposal. This video also shows the ease of installing the teraspan product.
