Please educate yourself on the difference between PRK and LASIK. LASIK creates a permanent FLAP that NEVER heals and leaves the cornea scarred for life, while PRK is a surface laser ablation to reshape the cornea. Had I known what I now know, I would have never had LASIK or PRK, and stuck it out with Extreme H2o contacts. The FDA called an emergency meeting last month: Youtube: FDA LASIK and listen to the horror stories. About 1,000,000 Americans have had their lives ruined from LASIK!!
Blade lasik. And I'm 36, not 77. I never put my real age while filling out registrations for anything online.
I *strongly* advise against having laser correction surgery. If you must have it, make sure its a "custom" job with a more precise laser. I had regular blade lasik with a Baush & Lomb laser and now my eyes are ruined.
Do you have trouble driving at night? Do you experience starbursts, glare, halo and ghost vision in all lighting conditions? You will after lasik.
But wait, you are 77. In our country it´s not possible to undergo the operation in such high age!!! It seems everything´s possible in America, whatever results...
Conventional blade lasik? Is it PRK, epi-LASIK, LASIK or intra-LASIK (femto-LASIK)? The last one is bladefree so probably one of the previous? Well, maybe the names are different in different countries. I´m going to undergo the operation on Saturday and now I´m a bit scared... I thought that now it was supposed to be safer than before...
Conventional blade lasik 11 months ago. If I can ask, what were your Higher Order Aberrations preop and what are they now. Mine went from 2.5 and 5 percent preop to 50 and 61 percent post op.
Glad it worked out good for you. Unfortunately you are in the minority. Most who have the surgery end up with poor or non existent night vision. Extreme star bursts, glare, halo and dry eyes.
Personally, I no longer drive at night and day driving is problematic at best. Very dry eyes, blurred vision in left eye and headaches are my world now.

When did you undergo the operation? Was it some old method?
