In pre-World War II Germany, Swing music becomes the underground movement of young people. Two high school students, Peter Müller and Thomas Berger (played by Robert Sean Leonard and Christian Bale), attempt to be Swing Kids by night and part of the Hitler Youth by day. As Hitler's grip tightens around these young boys' world, they will finally have to decide where their loyalties lie.

  • I adore this movie. I originally just wanted to watch it for the actors, but the movie itself is so interesting. :)

  • Has anyone else noticed that the grandma's "vacation" is actually her death?

  • sooo much like 1984

  • Am I the only one who thinks this looks like the KKK at 6:47? All you need now is a burning cross.

  • @jayblob716 Hitler actually chose the symbol because of how striking it was. It meant something totally different before he took it.

  • The ending with the flames and everyone... downright intimidating.

  • The scene with the brothers starting around the 5:00 mark always makes me teary eyed...

  • batman

  • This is such an evocative movie. It shows so well how situations like Nazi Germany can bring out the best or the worst in people.
