A Scottish woman taking part in a charity parachute jump had a lucky escape when her parachute failed to open. Zoe Sievwright, 29, hit the ground after her main chute failed to open and her reserve chute became tangled. She escaped with just a broken ankle.

  • @kleinesmaenchen Current USPA recommendations are not to attempt a cutaway for a pilot chute in tow malfunction as this would essentially add more possibility for reserve entanglement. For pilot chute in tow, which is what this animation depicts, its straight to reserve.

  • thats a fucking huge parachute right there. looks more like a paraglider. if you dont cutaway you die thats what i learned in groundschool and she appearantly didnt listen.
