CHARLESTON — Governor-elect Earl Ray Tomblin was on hand for the first meeting of Region 5 of the Governor's Regional Substance Abuse Task Force.
Tomblin, acting as governor, signed an executive order in September creating the Substance Abuse Advisory Council and six Regional Substance Abuse Task Forces. The task forces bring law enforcement, business, and community leaders together to brainstorms on ways to best address the growing prescription drug abuse problems in West Virginia.
